volution Robotics just announced the next generation of Mint robotic cleaner. The Mint Plus (models 5200 & 5200C) is available in a sleek black finish. There are two models: with docking station and without.
Main improvements:
*new software: NorthStar Navigation 2.0 - ability to clean multiple rooms with support of 2 or more navigation cubes,
*docking station/"Cradle" - ability to re-charge itself and shortened by half charging time (now: 2hr),
*pause-function - for change the cleaning cloth during cycle; after this the robot starts from the paused spot,
*better coverage area - 186 sq m (2000 sq ft) in "dry mode" (4hr) or 28 sq m (350 sq ft) in "wet mode" (2,5hr) (previous: 100 sq m/800 sq ft in 3hr or 25 sq m/200 sq ft in 2hr),
*Pro-Clean System - water container in cleaning pad; allow to damp newly designed mopping cloth during cycle,
*new battery pack - longer battery life,
*soft rubber bumper - safe for furniture,
Both models (Mint Plus 5200, Mint Plus with Cradle 5200C) will be available this autumn, starting at $299.99. Old Mint (4200) is still available for $199.99
